SYNOPSIS

The most common complications in implant dentistry are related to
biomechanical stress. These complications include early prosthetic
loading failure, mechanical complications (i.e. porcelain. Fracture
uncemented prostheses, abutment screw loosening, implant component
fracture and implant fracture).
|
There are four rules for key implant position:
- No cantilever
- No 3 adjacent pontics
- The canine rule
- The first molar rule

- To learn the primary causes of implant complications
- To understand the methods to limit and treat implant complications
- To allow the practitioner to develop an ideal treatment plan

About Dr. Carl E. Misch
Dr. Carl E. Misch is currently a Clinical Professor and Director of Oral Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry. He was the Director of the Implant Residency Program at Pittsburgh Dental School from 1982 to 1990. He maintains a private practice restricted to implant dentistry in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
The innovative & accomplished doctor is also renowned in his field as an energy-brimming inventor
